Thank you for visiting the BRACELET Study website

These pages are for Practice Managers and GPs who have been asked to advise the BRACELET Study team over whether or not it would be appropriate to approach some parents in their care to invite them to join the study. The aim here is make further information about the study available and to let you see how we aim to interact with the parents who are invited to participate.

This study considers issues around bereavement subsequent to the enrolment of a baby into a neonatal intensive care trial.  From the first phase of the study we now know that approximately 20% of neonates who are enrolled into intensive care trials do not survive. Little is known however about the views and experiences of those involved.

The BRACELET Study involves interviews with bereaved parents, neonatologists and a range of trial team members.  The aim is to provide information to allow future trial practice and policy to be responsive to the opinions of these relevant parties.

This website will allow you to:

Although the website is primarily an information resource for those who have been invited to take part in the study, there is a comments page where you can give us your views on the issues raised in this study, and a feedback page where you can let us know what you think about the resources that we have provided here.   Please note that the website should NOT be used to communicate about parents

We hope that you find these pages interesting and useful.
